Thanks to Stephen Cacioppo, formerly of New Orleans--a Chicagoan for the last 2 years--for this shot taken Sunday, January 22nd at North Avenue Beach looking east. Stephen finds Chicago's winter weather fascinating, and this shot is one reason why.

Fun in the sun

Jim Olson sent us this shot taken this past weekend from the the south shore of The Dunedin Causeway in Dunedin, Florida just west of Tampa on the Gulf of Mexico. Jim tells us:

"These motorized parachutes periodically buzz the coast and surrounding islands to the excitement of the tourist and locals.  These particular fishermen could care less, it seems - but what a great view as this parachuter headed out towards Caladesi Island and the sunset."

Thanks Jim!
