Snow totals add up as more reports pour in

The center of low pressure is moving rapidly northeast out of Indiana into southeastern Lower Michigan. Bands of light to occasionally moderate snow continue to form to our west and move over the Chicago area.

The low pressure center continues to move of to the east through Indiana and the storm pattern has elongated into a more west-east orientation. As bands of light to occasionally moderate snow continue to develop to our west and track east,  Chicago area snowfall totals are creeping up – especially in central and southern sections. Latest reports put snowfall totals from  2 to 3-inches far north to 6 to 8+ inches south. Greatest total to this point is the 8.0 inches at DeMotte, Indiana with Ottawa, ILa close second at 7.6 inches and Dyer, IN right behind at 7.5 inches..
