The cool and thundery weather most Chicagoans woke up to this morning will improve dramatically by afternoon.
An area of low pressure will lift north of the city later today, reducing rain chances to under 20 percent, while partial clearing allows temperatures to rebound into the 60s. Highs will range from the upper 50s far north to around 70 degrees across some southern suburbs.
Winds which will gust between 45 and 50 miles per hour this morning will diminish considerably after 1:30PM. A lake breeze will redevelop later today dropping temperatures at Wrigley Field and along the lakeshore into the 40s, but this is not expected to occur until after 6PM.
BELOW: The best chance of a scattered shower redeveloping this afternoon will be north and east of Chicago, in Indiana and Wisconsin.
