Wind Advisory in effect for northern Illinois including the Chicago area, northern Indiana and southern Wisconsin Monday

The center of a strong low pressure system will move out of Minnesota across northern Wisconsin tonight – passing across the northern tip of Lakes Michigan and Huron Monday. The deep low and associated tight pressure gradient will not only generate Blizzard and Winter Storm Warnings across Nebraska, the Dakotas, Minnesota, and northern Wisconsin tonight into early Monday, but also strong southwest to westerly winds gusting 40 to 50 miles per hour Monday over Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan as depicted in light brown or tan color on the map below.

* IMPACTS…WINDS THIS STRONG CAN CAUSE MINOR PROPERTY DAMAGE AND
  MAKE TRAVEL HAZARDOUS…ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.
