UPDATE:12:00 Noon
Madison, Wisconsin received about an inch of snow when the snow band passed through, and visibilities in the Milwaukee area have dropped to 1/4 to 1/2 mile in the snow. An observer about 5 miles southwest of Madison measured 1.4 inches of snow.
=================================================================================================================
A narrow band of moderate to heavy snow currently moving southeast through southern Wisconsin is headed for the Illinois border. At 11am the band of snow extended from the Milwaukee area southwest to Dubuque and was moving southeast at about 40 mph. The snow was reducing the visibility to as low as 1/2 miles in the areas of heaviest fall. Though not lasting long, a quick inch or two is snow is possible as the band moves through and it iwll create slippery roads and hazardous travel conditions.
