Snow reducing the visibility in northeast Illinois
A band of moderate to heavy snow is moving through the north portions of the Chicago area shortly before 2pm.
The visibility is down to 1/4 mile at Waukegan, 3/4 mile at Wheeling, 1 mild and De Kalb and 1.5 miles at Rochelle. Moderate to heavy snow is also falling in Arlington Heights. The band is moving rapidly southeast and will last only about an hour at any one location. A quick 1 to 2 inches of snow can be expected as the band moves through.
