A Winter Weather Advisory (for snow and hazardous driving conditions) remains in effect for Lake and Cook Counties in Illinois until 4PM, and in Lake and Porter Counties in Indiana until 6PM this afternoon.

Lake-enhanced snow showers have developed off the southeastern Wisconsin Lake Michigan shoreline and are moving south. Snow showers can be expected along the Illinois Lake Michigan shoreline  this afternoon - then as winds shift from northeast to north and finally northwest, the snow showers will drift farther south over the northwest Indiana Lake Michigan shoreline in the later afternoon into the evening hours. Additional snowfall of 1 to 3 inches may occur in Lake and Cook Counties in Illinois and Lake and Porter Counties in northwest Indiana with these snow showers.
