Winter Weather Advisory for Rockford area, southern Wisconsin

3:55PM UPDATE:  The Winter Weather Advisory for the Rockford area including Boone, Winnebago and Ogle counties has been extended until 7PM.

 

The Winter Weather Advisory for Southern Wisconsin including Racine, Kenosha and Walworth counties is scheduled to expire at 6PM.

 

There are no advisories in effect for Chicago, Northeast Illinois or Northwest Indiana where up to an inch of accumulation is possible this evening.

4 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON...WINNEBAGO-BOONE-OGLE-
INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...ROCKFORD...BELVIDERE...OREGON
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHICAGO HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS
MORNING TO 4 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON.

 

* TIMING...RAIN WILL MIX WITH AND THEN CHANGE TO SNOW DURING THE
MORNING HOURS...WITH OCCASIONAL SNOW CONTINUING INTO THE
AFTERNOON BEFORE TAPERING OFF AND ENDING LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

 

* ACCUMULATION...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO 2 TO 4 INCHES COULD
OCCUR IN THE ADVISORY AREA.
