A little after 11PM thunderstorms in the Chicago Heights, southern Cook County area reported rainfall amounts of 1.13 and 1.09 inch of rain in 30 minutes along with ¾-inch and 1-inch diameter hail. Park Forest reported 7/8-inch diameter hail at about the same time. Three-quarter-inch diameter hail was reported at Homer Glen in Will County and Calumet City in Cook County.
