Snow is over for today, and so is "the streak"

Chicago officially recorded 1.1 inches of snow this morning ending a record breaking streak of consecutive days without 1″ of snowfall at 335.  This also establishes a new record for latest one inch snowfall in any season. Prior to this Winter, the latest 1″ snowfall occurred on January 17th in 1899.

 

Here are a few of the snowfall reports from across the Chicago area:

 

1.1″  Chicago- O’Hare

1.0″  Plainfield

1.0″  Naperville

0.8″  Chicago-Midway
