Lake-effect snow piling up in a few locales in eastern portions of northern Cook County

Lake-effect snow has been falling in portions of eastern Cook County much of the day. In most areas the snowfall has been on the light side totaling less than an inch, but some heavier amounts have been occurring under the heavier snow bands. Latest radar trends show the band of heavier snow shifting north into the southeast portion of Lake County near Deerfield and Highland Park.

 

Evanston 4-5 inches

Skokie 4.5 inches

Wilmette 2.0 inches

Northfield 2.0 inches

Rogers Park 1 inch
