An influx of warm and moist Spring-like air aided in the development of showers and thunderstorms across the Chicago area this morning.
A few of the thunderstorms produced hail in the 0.50" to 1.00" range prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for some of Chicago's southwest suburbs. One inch hail was vreported in Bolingbrook, IL shortly after Noon.
Rain chances will be on the decrease later this afternoon and evening.
