Radar imagery indicates a narrow band of modterate snow moving across Chicago. This band extends from the Loop southwest, along and just north of the Stevenson expressway, then out to the Ottawa area in LaSalle county. This band is expected to continue to decrease in areal coverage as it shifts east across the area. Snowfall rates within the heavier snow area may reach 1 inch per hour with visibilities reduced to a half mile or less.
