Drier, colder air is moving into Chicago this morning behind a cold front that brought soaking rains to much of the Midwest this weekend. A few flurries or ice pellets may mix with the departing rain, but no accumulation is expected. Temperatures will remain above the freezing mark throughout the day today, preventing icing on area roads.
Here are a few rainfall totals from across the area:
1.25" Downers Grove, IL
1.24" Yorkville, IL
1.10" Chicago- O'Hare
0.92" Chicago- Midway
0.90" Elgin, IL
0.87" Mundelien, IL
0.68" Woodstock, IL
0.41" South Bend, IN
